Drop-in is the only honest way to try an activity. No term, no block of eight weeks, no direct debit. You turn up, you pay for that session, and if your child hates it you never go back.
The catch is that comparing drop-in prices is close to impossible, because the number on the website is frequently not the number at the till. This guide fixes that.
This single question changes the cost of an outing more than any discount will. We checked it at every venue we could verify, and the answers range from free to full price.
| Venue | Child or headline price | What the adult pays |
|---|---|---|
| Amped Trampoline Park | $19.90 per hour weekday | Free. "There is no charge to the parent" |
| Kiztopia | not published | Free. "Each ticket admits 1 Participant and 1 Adult" |
| Tayo Station | $27.90 off-peak | 1 adult included, each extra adult $8 |
| Kidztropic | $25 Tuesday to Friday | Two adults included per child |
| Pirate Land | $31.90 (age 2+) | 1 adult included, second adult $12 |
| The Artground | $8 per person weekday | $10 at weekends |
| Ground Up Climbing | $17 youth | $10 supervising adult |
| Airzone | $27.90 | Full $27.90 if your child is under 115cm |
| SuperPark | $37.90 peak 2-hour session | Full price. "Kids under 120cm... the adult fee applies" |
| T-Play, HomeTeamNS | $30 off-peak, $35 peak | 1 adult included, extra adults pay full price |
In practice that means an Airzone session with a four-year-old costs $55.80. The same session with a 116cm six-year-old costs $27.90. Same venue, same hour, half the price.
Nothing on this list is a promotion or a limited offer. These are standing prices.
| Activity | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ActiveSG swimming, child | $0.50 | Weekday, Singaporean or PR. $0.60 weekends |
| ActiveSG swimming, adult | $1.00 | Weekday. $1.30 weekends |
| ActiveSG pools with water play | $0.80 child | Choa Chu Kang, Jurong East and West, Pasir Ris, Sengkang, Heartbeat@Bedok, Our Tampines Hub, WCH Arena |
| Five public skate parks | Free | Somerset at *SCAPE, Xtreme at East Coast, YouthCreates at Bishan, NTU Yunnan Garden, Lakeside Garden |
| Children's Garden, Gardens by the Bay | Free | Ages 12 and under. Adults admitted only when accompanying a child |
| Jacob Ballas Children's Garden | Free | Closed Mondays. Botanic Gardens MRT, 10-minute walk |
| National Gallery Singapore | Free for citizens and PRs | Includes the Keppel Centre for Art Education |
| ActiveSG gym, student | $1.50 | Per visit |
| ActiveSG badminton court | $3.50 per hour | Non-peak, per court, not per person |
ActiveSG is the outlier nobody writes about. A child swims for 50 cents. A family of four swims for $3.00 on a weekday. Nothing in the commercial sector comes close, and the pools with water play features cost 30 cents more.
Best for families who want a repeatable weekly outing rather than a one-off treat.
| Venue | Weekday | Weekend | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Artground | $8 per person | $12 child, $10 adult | Timed slots, Holland Village |
| Jolly Jungle | $13 per hour | $15 per hour | 1 child and 1 adult, Our Tampines Hub |
| Waka Waka | $22 | $27 | 1 child and 1 adult |
| Kidztropic | $25 | $29 | 1 child and two adults, 2 hours |
| Airzone | $27.90 | $27.90 | 60 minutes, net playground, GST included |
| Tayo Station | $27.90 | $31.90 | 2 hours, 1 child and 1 adult |
| Pirate Land | $31.90 | $31.90 | Unlimited on weekdays, 3 hours at weekends |
| T-Play, non-member | $30 | $35 | 2 hours. GST included, which is rare |
| T-Play, member | $12 | $12 | Membership is $21.80 for two years |
| SuperPark day pass | $33.90 | $46.90 | Under 100cm pay half. Under 1 free |
The Artground at $8 is less than a third of the price of most of this list, and on weekdays that $8 covers everybody including babies in arms. Grip socks are mandatory there at $3 a pair.
Pirate Land is worth a note in the other direction: its weekday ticket is unlimited play, so a long rainy Tuesday makes the $31.90 the best value on the table rather than the worst.

The cheapest structured physical activity in Singapore once you get past ActiveSG, and almost all of it is genuinely drop-in.
| Gym | Single entry | Off-peak | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kinetics Climbing | $23 | $16.50 | $5 one-time registration. Farrer Park Exit G |
| Ground Up, youth | $17 | $12 | Supervising adult $10. Max 2 children per adult |
| Z-Vertigo | $10 child, $13 youth | not published | Adult pays $18. Bukit Timah Shopping Centre |
| Boulder Planet | $33 adult | $16 youth pass | Youth pass is weekdays before 6.30pm only |
| Climb Central | $44.70 adult and 1 child | not published | First visit rate, includes gear. GST included |
Climb Central publishes the clearest gate in the sector: 4 years old by actual date of birth, at least 1m tall and 16kg. One adult may supervise a maximum of two children. It is also one of the very few operators in this entire guide that states its prices include GST.
Watch the extras. Kinetics charges a one-off $5 registration, Ground Up rents shoes at $5 and socks at $2, and Climb Central rents a shoes and harness set at $9.
Best for ages 5 and up. Below that, most walls are a supervised scramble rather than climbing.
| Park | 1 hour | 2 hours | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amped, weekday | $19.90 | $37.50 | Spectators free. 120kg weight limit |
| Amped, weekend | $23 | $42 | Public holidays $26 and $47 |
| BOUNCE, general | $27.20 | $32.90 off-peak | Second hour $22. Over 110cm only |
| BOUNCE, Junior Jumper | $19.00 | not published | Ages 4 and under, restricted hours |
| BOUNCE, Sundown | $19.90 | not published | Evening rate |
Grip socks are compulsory at both and are an unavoidable first-visit cost: $3 at Amped, $3.20 at BOUNCE. They are yours to keep, so it is a one-off rather than a per-visit charge.
The most genuinely walk-in category in Singapore, and the one where the adult question is least clearly answered.
| Studio | Per person | Duration | Ages and conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heppi Pottery | $22 kids, $28 regular | 1.5 hours | Ceramic piece from $10 extra. Walk-ins accepted |
| Clay Clay Pottery | $33, or $30 for four or more | see note | Ages 3-12. Pottery $8 to $17. Students 20% off |
| Arteastiq | $30 for one, $55 for two | 3 hours | Orchard Road. Canvas and paints included |
| Artify Studio | $28 unguided, $38 guided | 2.5 hours | Minimum age 7. Under 10s need an adult who also paints |
| My Art Space | $39 | 2.5 hours | Age 6 up. Under 12s need an adult. Dhoby Ghaut Exit C |
| Art Journey | $39.90 | 1.5 to 2 hours | Parents do not need to stay |
| TK Pottery Jungle | $50, or $50 per pair | 2 hours | Parent and child under 8 pay one $50 fee. No walk-ins |
Only two studios answer the adult question at all. Artify makes it explicit and expensive: a child under 10 needs an adult guardian "who is also painting in the same art jamming session", and there is no spectator rate. TK Pottery Jungle goes the other way, charging a parent and a child under 8 a single $50 between them.
My Art Space carries the sharpest risk: an adult must accompany any child under 12, but no non-painting rate is published anywhere. Ask before you go.
Best for a rainy afternoon with one child. Most studios cap group sizes low.
A useful negative finding. Across every music, dance and drama provider we checked, not one sells a single session.
What these providers offer instead is a trial, which is a different product: usually once-only, first-timers only, and time-limited. My Gym is explicit that its trial is "valid for first-time visitors and non-members only" and must be used "within 14 days". For those, see our separate guides to free trial classes and what trial classes cost.
One child plus one parent, one session, cheapest verified option in each category.

| The Artground, weekday | $16 | Yes, $8 each |
| Amped trampoline, weekday hour | $19.90 | Yes, spectators free |
| Heppi pottery painting | $32 upwards | No, adult rate not published |
| Jolly Jungle, weekday hour | $13 | Yes, 1 child and 1 adult |

What is the cheapest paid activity for a child in Singapore? An ActiveSG swim at 50 cents on a weekday for a Singaporean or PR child. Public skate parks and the two children's gardens are free.
Do I need to book a drop-in session? Increasingly yes. Heppi and Clay Clay accept walk-ins outright, Airzone and Tayo Station accept them subject to capacity, and TK Pottery Jungle refuses them entirely. ActiveSG pools and skate parks are genuine walk-ins.
Why does my child's height change the price? Because at Airzone and SuperPark the height threshold determines whether a supervising adult must buy a ticket. Under 115cm at Airzone and under 120cm at SuperPark, the adult pays.
Are drop-in prices the same as trial prices? No. A drop-in is repeatable. A trial is usually once only and restricted to first-time visitors, and it often expires within a fortnight.
Which venues let a parent sit out? Amped states there is no charge for spectators, and Art Journey confirms parents do not need to stay. At Artify the adult must actively paint.
The pattern across every category is the same. The advertised price is a child's price, and whether it is also your price is the thing nobody puts on the poster. Ask that question before you travel and it will save you more than any promotion.
