Sassy Mama has written about Jurong West. HoneyKids has too. Both recommend Jurong Lake Gardens, and both are right. But you will notice that neither wrote a guide to Jurong West as a whole. That is the gap this post fills.

Things to do with kids in Jurong West, Singapore extend well beyond one park. The west has new playgrounds that opened in late 2025, three indoor play venues across different price points, two swimming complexes, and a cluster of science and learning attractions that together make for a genuinely full day out. This guide covers all of it.

Jurong Lake Gardens: The One Sassy Mama Got Right

Forest Ramble

Singapore's largest nature playgarden covers 2.3 hectares in the Lakeside Garden section. Thirteen adventure stations are themed around freshwater swamp animals: herons, otters, frogs, and snakes. The structures include rope courses, climbing frames, aerial walkways, swings, and slides. Recommended ages are 5 to 12, though younger children use the lower sections comfortably with supervision. Entry is free. The park opens Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 10pm, and closes every Monday for maintenance.

Best for children who need space to move and climb without a timer or a ticket.

Clusia Cove

Adjacent to Forest Ramble, Clusia Cove is a 3-hectare water play area with a tidal pool, a sand pit, and a large eco-pond with natural water recycling. It is free, and it is genuinely wet. Pack a change of clothes.

Best for toddlers and younger children alongside older siblings using Forest Ramble.

Skatepark, Bouldering Wall, and PAssion Wave

Singapore's largest park skatepark sits within Jurong Lake Gardens, along with a bouldering wall and parkour-friendly structures. All free. For water sports, PAssion Wave at Jurong Lake Gardens offers kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and dragon boat experiences. These are paid and bookable in advance via ActiveSG Circle. An ActiveSG swimming pool operates onsite for a paid swim session if you want water without the trek to either swimming complex.

Best for older children and teens looking for active outdoor options within the park.

Parks That Have Not Made the Roundups Yet

Jurong Lake Gardens gets the coverage. These three do not, and they should be on your list.

Bulim Park

Bulim Park opened its first phase in December 2025 on the western edge of Jurong West, near the Jurong Innovation District. It is not on most parents' radar yet, which means it is quiet. The playground is a 3-storey red net structure with cargo nets, rope bridges, climbing discs, hammocks, and a curved slide. There is also a nature playgarden with stepping stones, log balancing, a merry-go-round, and sand pockets. The park connects to Bulim Square via a 1.1km elevated sky corridor. Entry is free.

Best for families who want the Forest Ramble experience without the Jurong Lake Gardens crowds.

Westgate Wonderland

Westgate Wonderland is Singapore's largest rooftop mall playground. The garden theme features a 10-metre treehouse, giant flower structures, musical elements, spinning canopies, and a separate section for toddlers. Open daily from 10am to 10pm. Entry is free for children aged 2 to 12. The playground closes the last Monday of each month from 10am to noon for maintenance.

Best for a free hour before or after lunch at the mall.

Jurong Central Park

Jurong Central Park features life-sized Snakes and Ladders and Ludo boards set into the park grounds. The Boon Lay Nature Garden sits within the park: a community edible and biodiversity garden with dragonfly ponds and walking paths. Free and open 24 hours.

Best for a relaxed afternoon out with children aged 4 to 10.

Kiztopia Club Jurong Point

Kiztopia Club covers 4,500 sq ft across 12 play concepts: netted climbing frames, role-play zones, a trampoline area, a carousel, and multi-level slides. Children aged 1 to 12 are catered for; those under 12 months enter free with a paying child. Admission runs from $18 to $28 per child depending on session and day. Happy Hour pricing applies on weekday evenings from 6pm. Bookable via the Kiztopia website, Klook, or Fever.

Best for pre-school to primary school children on a wet afternoon.

Kidz Amaze at SAFRA Jurong

Kidz Amaze is one of Singapore's largest indoor playgrounds. The 3-storey integrated play system includes an 18.5-metre indoor slide, one of the tallest in the country, and one of Asia's largest Ballocity ball-shooting feature areas. Children up to 14 years old may use the space; those under 12 months enter free. Weekday admission is $16.20 per child. Weekends, public holidays, and school holidays are priced at $20.20. No reservation required.

Best for older primary school children who have outgrown smaller play gyms.

Swimming in Jurong West

Jurong West Swimming Complex

Jurong West Swimming Complex has a sheltered Olympic-sized main pool, a 50-metre teaching pool, a lazy river, water slides, and a Fun Pool with a water playground for younger children. Best for a full-day family swim session with options for all ages.

Jurong East Swimming Complex

Best for families already visiting Jurong Lake Gardens who want to add a swim.

Science, Discovery, and Digging Things Up

The corridor between Lakeside and Jurong East MRT has one of Singapore's strongest concentrations of learning attractions. These are a short MRT or taxi ride from Jurong West.

Science Centre Singapore and KidsSTOP

Science Centre Singapore has over 1,000 interactive exhibits across 14 galleries. For younger children, KidsSTOP is a dedicated wing for ages 18 months to 8 years with hands-on STEAM learning zones covering science, technology, engineering, art, and maths. A separate or combo ticket is required for KidsSTOP; check the Science Centre website for current pricing. The Omni-Theatre runs dome shows suitable from about age 5. Children aged 2 and under enter free.

Best for a half-day educational visit with children aged 18 months to 12.

Singapore Discovery Centre

Singapore Discovery Centre covers Singapore's defence history and national identity through interactive exhibits, XD Theatre simulations, laser tag, and escape rooms. Pedal boats are also available. Admission is free for Singapore citizens and permanent residents, making it one of the better-value family days out in the west. The centre suits children from primary school age upwards.

Best for families with older children looking for something more structured than a playground.

Dig Dig Land at Jurong Play Grounds

Dig Dig Land, opened in December 2024, is a 4,000 sq ft construction-themed outdoor play area where children from age 2 operate mini excavators, mini cranes, and ride-on construction vehicles. These are real machines scaled for children. Sessions are time-slotted and closed-toe shoes are required. Dig Dig Land opens on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and selected public holidays.

Best for children aged 2 to 10 with a thing for construction sites.

Enrichment Classes in Jurong West

For families settling into the area and looking for regular classes rather than one-off activities, SAFRA Jurong has a concentrated enrichment offer under one roof.

Kidz Education City (KEC) houses several established providers: Dancepointe Academy (ballet, hip hop, K-pop, jazz, from age 2), Cristofori Music School (piano, keyboard, violin), BazGym Gymnastics (ages 2 to 12, including special needs provisions), eiMaths (abacus and mental arithmetic), and Taekwondonomics (martial arts). Each provider runs its own scheduling and registration.

What It Costs in 2026

Jurong Lake Gardens, Bulim Park, Westgate Wonderland, and Singapore Discovery Centre for citizens are all free. They make a sensible baseline for any Jurong West family day out. Add a paid session at Kiztopia or Kidz Amaze when the weather turns.
