Most parents searching for gymnastics classes for kids in Singapore assume they are looking at one sport. They are looking at three. Artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and tumbling or parkour each have different equipment, different physical demands, and a very different environment. Picking the right category first saves a wasted term and a mildly frustrated seven-year-old.
This guide covers seven verified providers across Singapore, a pricing table with current figures, and the questions worth asking before you commit to anything.

Artistic gymnastics is the Olympic format: vault, uneven bars, beam, and floor. Boys and girls train together in recreational classes, though syllabi diverge at competitive level. The focus is core strength, body control, and incremental skill progression. It suits children who respond well to clear standards and visible improvement.
Rhythmic gymnastics combines dance, flexibility, and apparatus work: ribbon, ball, hoop, rope, clubs. Classes are almost exclusively for girls. Musicality and choreography matter as much as physical skill. Children who enjoy dance and performance tend to take to it naturally. If your child is already in dance, our guide to the best dance classes for kids in Singapore (2026) covers studios where rhythmic gymnastics and dance overlap.
Tumbling, ninja, and parkour classes use gymnastics as the base but strip back the apparatus: floor skills, obstacle courses, trampoline, freestyle acrobatics. This is the lowest-barrier entry point for most children, the most co-ed, and the most suitable for children who find structured gymnastics too rigid.
18 months to 3 years. Parent-child Gym Tots or BearyTots classes at this age are about gross motor development, not gymnastics instruction. Children explore movement, balance, and body awareness with a caregiver present. Expect 30-minute sessions, soft equipment, and music. That is the point.
3 to 6 years. Preschool recreational classes introduce gymnastics vocabulary: forward rolls, balances, handstands, cartwheels. Children work in groups for the first time. Coach-to-child ratio matters more than anything else at this stage.
6 and above. Technical progression becomes possible. Children who show aptitude and commitment can be assessed for development squads. Most providers have an informal pathway from recreational to competitive. Ask about it at enrolment, not six months in.
For very young children, our guide to the best gyms and movement classes for babies, toddlers and young kids in Singapore covers the 0-to-3 age range in more detail.
The Yard has four locations: Jurong, Dover, Dempsey, and Bukit Timah. Classes run from 18 months through to adult competitive squads, covering gymnastics fundamentals, tumbling, trampoline, freestyle, and ninja formats. At the structured end, it runs Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics squads and is the first gymnastics club in Singapore to deliver a pathway to NCAA collegiate scholarships in the United States. Trial classes start from $63.
Best for: children who want a school that can take them from toddler classes through to a competitive track, without switching providers.
Founded in 2005, Bubbles Gymnastics runs from Holland Village and Bedok. Classes begin at 1 year old with the Gymtots programme, moving through Kindergym, recreation, and competitive streams as children progress. The school holds a SG Child Safe Commitment certification. Trial classes are $28, the most accessible entry point on this list.
Best for: parents who want a long-established school with a clear age-by-age progression from baby classes through to competition.
Founded in 2012, GymKraft runs from Kallang Wave Mall, Yo:HA Tampines, and Forum The Shopping Mall at Orchard. Programmes cover artistic gymnastics (KinGym for ages 3 to 6, BeGym for ages 7 to 13), parkour, and trampoline. An invitation-only advanced stream runs for children who progress through the recreational programme. One of the few providers with a Tampines location.
Best for: families in the east or central Singapore who want gymnastics, parkour, and trampoline available under one school.
BearyFun Gym has seven locations: Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Katong, Changi, Pasir Ris, and Marine Parade. Classes run from 18 months with BearyTots, progressing through age-banded levels to Fitness Teen for ages 7 to 12. The school is non-competitive by design: no squads, no grading, no performance pressure. Trial $50 at the Changi location.
Best for: families who prioritise location convenience or want a non-competitive environment where the focus stays on physical development rather than performance.
Founded in June 2003 by ex-national gymnasts, BazGym runs a Preschool Movement Programme and a Gymnastics Enrichment Programme across three Singapore locations: Sentul Crescent, Boon Lay, and Ah Hood Road. Notably, BazGym offers classes for children with special needs alongside its mainstream programme. Contact the school directly for 2026 pricing.
Best for: preschool-age children in the west and north of Singapore, and parents looking for an inclusive provider that accommodates a range of learning needs.

Trial class $50 for 60 minutes.
Best for: girls aged 3 and above with a natural pull towards dance, music, and performance, or parents specifically seeking rhythmic gymnastics from a coach with elite credentials.

What is the difference between recreational and competitive gymnastics?
Recreational classes are open enrolment with no grading or competition requirement. Competitive streams involve squad selection, two to three sessions per week, competition fees, and travel. Most providers require children to be assessed before joining a competitive squad.
How do I know if my child is ready to progress?
Coaches at reputable schools will flag children who show the physical aptitude and focus for a competitive pathway. Let the coach raise it. Do not put the pressure on your child.
What should my child wear?
A leotard or fitted shorts and a t-shirt. No zips, buttons, or jewellery. Bare feet for gymnastics; grip socks for trampoline classes.
Are there subsidy schemes available?
ActiveSG runs a KinderGym programme through affiliated delivery partners. Check their website for current eligibility and participating locations near you.
The right gymnastics class is the one your child wants to return to after the first session. Artistic, rhythmic, and tumbling attract different temperaments. None is harder or more valuable than the other.
